While studying design at Musashino Art University, Uchino learned filming through self-study.

After winning the grand prize in the MTV station ID contest, he joined MTV Japan and started making videos as a director. He originally wanted to make music videos, so it was very luckyf for him to get into MTV.

When he was 27 years old, he directed a commercial for Shiseido, which sparked my interest in the beauty field,
